for this week 9-19-2011 through 9-23-2011

Students should study for the vocabulary test on Friday.  They have their list of words.  We will be working on them in class as well.  This week we are working on verbs, interjections, and conjunctions.  We will also be completing several short writing assignments.  I will be sending home several graded assignment.  Be watching for these.

Monster Story 9/15/2011

The students have been assigned a short story in which they will write about themselves, and they will create a friend who is a monster. The story should be a page and a half. They are to draw the monster at the bottom of the second page. After completing the story, the students are to circle at least ten pronouns. This assignment will be due on Monday, September 19, 2011. This story should be titled, written in paragraphs, and complete sentences. Each paragraph should contain a topic sentence, three supporting sentences, and a conclusion sentence. Students have been instructed on this assignment and have completed a paragraph assignment.
